Sweets to the Streets

While visiting DC this past weekend, there was no way I was leaving before I ventured to the cute and quaint area of Georgetown! Filled with fabulous shops, delectable munchies and preps galore I immediately fell in love. And although the average NYC chica would rave about her favorite shop or dress purchased there, I have to admit there was another stop that put the biggest sweet smile on my face! It was my first time to say hola to Thomas Sweet…or what many locals refer to as T Sweets!

Conveniently located on a corner near prime Georgetown shops, T Sweets is owned and operated by Mohammed Ali and a frequent go-to for everyone…from college students to working professonals to Obama! Although they have other locations {Princeton, Montgomery and New Brunswick}, their Georgetown location has been a Washington favorite for generations!

With their eclectic array of ice cream and frozen yogurt flavors, no one can turn T Sweets down! I had the best time trying different flavors, concocting future phenom Blend-ins opps or a killer fro yo!

Instead of getting too big of a sugar high, I delightfully settled for their white macadamia nut fro yo {fat free might I add…hola!} topped with almonds! So sweet, so fresh, so fulfilling!

Whether you’re craving a cold treat on a hot shopping day, a study break refreshment or a cute place to take your date after dinner, T Sweets is the way to go in DC! But don’t be discouraged by their long line or their cash only policy, once you take your first bites you’ll understand why they’re in such hot demand! T Sweets brings the sweets to the streets!
