The sad day finally came…it was time for me to fly back on Easter Sunday to the hustle and bustle of NYC! And although I was tempted to intentionally miss my flight, I knew that me not flyin’ would not “fly” with my parentals!
But, there was one place that I couldn’t pass up before peacing to the east coast…Pressed Juicery! Even before my trip out to LA, Troy had been raving about how much he loved this fresh juicery {right next to Fresh Corn Grill for all of you WeHo folks!}.
Luckily while we ordering, one of the owners of Pressed Juicery named Hayden Slater chatted with us a bit about why he opened this place up {on 15 months ago!}. Hayden told us that while he was at NYU, he took a yoga class there that literally changed his life. His yoga instructor was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and was given six months to live. She began drinking juices, and eleven years later she is still alive and strong! It really shows you how beneficial this juices are to your body {y’all may have seen his instructor on Oprah in the past…it’s an extraordinary story!}. Hayden was so inspired by her that he opened Press Juicery, which has multiple locations across LA and they plan to open six more across the west coast soon!
I followed Troy’s lead and got the.best.smoothie.of.my.life! If you’re a smoothie addict like moi, let’s just say Pressed Juicery literally puts Jamba Juice and Smoothie King to shame!
Plus, they have the largest variety of juice combinations to choose from and a bunch of juice cleanses to try out! Hola!
Before we scooted to the airport, I got to say bye to Lucy and Lala, and get one last look of Troy + Craig’s amazing view of Los Angeles! Breathtaking is an understatement. This was the first time I have visited a place where I genuinely did not want to go home!
