Hiking the Swiss Alps during the day and lounging in pure luxury bliss at night became my instant routine last week on vacation with my family! But on one of the afternoons where I completed the daily 8 mile hike early, I decided to lounge by the pool and totally craved something icy-sweet. So when one of the coolest bartenders around Leukerbad named Paulo suggested for me to try his favorite Jasmine Iced Tea, I thought “why not?” – And ohh, it was a love connection from the first sip…so much that I just had to have Paulo to show me step by step on how I could create this fabulous summer concoction back State side! Hola.
Interested in making this hotter than hades summer that much cooler? Here are Paulo’s tips to making your own Jasmine Iced Tea just fabulously sweet:
gather all of the tea ingredients onto one crisp table. what to snag?
sugar cubes
lemons + limes
bunches of crushed ice
paulo’s hidden secret: soak jasmin green tea bags into a jar!
le sirop de monin…bonjour!
start by slicing those limes {2 to be exact!}
into fourths por favor!
drop ’em in
add a few cubes
crush it like there’s no tomorrow
add a cup of the jasmin green tea
with a scoop of the crushed ice and then…
shake it like a polaroid picture
that’s right…shake it, shake it
paulo {Hôtel Les Sources des Alpes fabulous bartender} werked it!
voila
it’s that simple. now time to pour + serve!
but don’t forget to block the limes while pouring…
hola.
it’s time to add another scoop of crushed ice on top
stir the ice into the tea concoction
slice some thin limes
place them precisely on the sides!
bonjour.
slice an apple très thin for a little drink detail
cut it in half!
love this part…
it’s so easy to add a little pizzazz
add more of that ice!
place two straws right on in! pick your own color preference, of course.
twist + shout
