When my best chica proposed the idea of coming over to my place {aka Casa Blanca}, inviting our NYC tribe and becoming dough boys for the evening, my immediate response was “girl…A. flour mess and B. busy real estate job? Umm…let’s go out for dinner instead and ditch the Windex fest?” But when I heard she was bringing a friend who is an expert on cooking homemade pizza I thought, why not? – hola!
Since work ran late for me last night, Jamie and the fabulous pizza extraordinaire, Scott, decided to come over early and get started on the dough brew. And I have to admit when I got home everything was perfectly rolled, organized and ready to go for the guests!
Plated, a fabulous food company who delivers ready-to-cook meals that can be prepared in 30 minutes, had graciously sponsored this dinner party, so I got all of the ingredients they sent over onto the counter and put the guests to work as they strolled in! Their warm quinoa and kale salad was literally amazing…if you haven’t ordered from Plated yet it’s a must-try! It takes your cooking experience and chef expertise to the next level with their ever-changing recipes each week!
Once everyone had said hola and got all settled, I split the guests up into two groups to creatively add their toppings of choice to their personal pie. And in between the DIY seshes our bartender, Adrian, kept the other crews entertained with bourbons, Basil Hayden + Blanton’s!

Although we had a bit of a technical difficulty with the oven {never a dull moment!}, we plopped the pies on in and all caught up on the newest gossip while the delicious aroma filled the room!

Post dinner was when the pizza soiree turned into to even more of a Casa Blanca shindig! So, I whipped out two of my all-time favorites: Jenga + Twister. If you haven’t purchased these they’re a must-have for any party! You never know what will go down…literally.
Although I had originally thought the evening was going to consist of one hot pizza dough mess, the Casa Blanca soiree was anything but! It was hands on, entertaining and lasted until the wee hours of this fine Friday morning…and I loved every minute of it! Oh, what happens in Casa Blanca…Happy Weekend! B+H
