After a fun-filled day frolicking around Central Park and the Upper East, my friend goes “what’s K Chocolatier by Diane Krön?” This ultimate question led our entrance into a chocolate boutique the Food Network calls “the Rolls-Royce of chocolate.” Hola!
Making ourselves quite at home and sampling some to die for sweets, the owner of the boutique, Elie Krön, graciously welcomed us and told us all about K Chocolatier and its history!
Elie Krön of K Chocolatier
Little did we know that K Chocolatier was an iconic Hungarian chocolate brand back in the ’70s and was created by Elie’s mom, Diane Krön. Emphasizing on putting more cocoa and less sugar into her chocolates, Diane became the “go-to” for all the A-list celebs…Jackie O. and Andy Warhol ring any bells? With stores in Beverly Hills, Malibu and NYC, this chocolatier is one no one can say “I’m fine” to!
We looked through old People articles and news clippings of the brand and were amazed we had just stumbled into this land of delicious cocoa!
Our favorites were their rich K truffles, but what caught my eye even more was their bespoke packaging!
Perfect for swinging by to grab a meaningful gift for someone you love or just a sweet indulge for yourself, K Chocolatier by Diane Krön is the place to go!
It’s convenient, it’s quick and it’s the prettiest Royce on the block! B+H
