While I was walking down Madison Avenue last weekend, a new storefront with vivid bright green and orange colors immediately caught my eye. Emblazoned in gold was the word: DoDo. Were they referring to that funny feathered bird? I was so intrigued that it was a must I went inside! Hola.
Little did I know that DoDo, which is one of Pomellato’s collections, actually specializes in customizing jewelry for you! Between their animal collection {all 18 carrot gold charms!}, lucky collection and love collection I was incredibly amazed {and hopeful!} that one day I would too have a DoDo piece.
All of the animal charms have a special meaning, and the way you place the beads reveals a little bit of who you are and what you want to say. Or it can just tell an interesting story…like the bracelet pictured above! It tells the story about how two people fall in love. Ultimately, after the being tempted {snake} and running away together {horse}, the two become soul mates {penguin}!
Luckily, there was a woman inside customizing her own bracelet, which are all made within 20 minutes {btw!}, with the manager, Stephen, and let me sit in on the fun!
I was all ears {and eyes through my lense!} hearing the stories of why this woman chose these particular charms and how Stephen carefully tied and knotted the strings.
