After watching the movie “Hitch” the other day, I was inspired to get outside and explore the outdoor opportunities this city has to offer. Did you know how many fun and free activities that are on the Hudson especially on the weekends? My top weekend pick is to get outside, take advantage of the gorgeous weather, and try out kayaking…on the Hudson!
Kayaking is Downtown Boathouse’s most popular activity, and they give you everything you could possibly need out on the water…but don’t forget your bathing suit! The program runs at all of their locations from the middle of May to the middle of October on weekends and even some weekday evenings.
Head on up to the Upper West Side and swing by one of my favorite spots called Zabars for some picnic essentials. One of the ultimate additions to outdoor munch time? Then head over to the 72nd Pier, go kayaking, and enjoy a gourmet and scenic picnic!
