Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays not only because of the amazing food consumed, being thankful or participating in the Boulevard Bolt {well…nothing too strenuous to hurt the turkey bird blowout, of course!} in Nashville, but because it’s literally the one time out of the entire year when I visit home that the majority of my friends are here as well. Hola! Since I can remember, my family has always hosted the “Breakfast after the Bolt” party for our friends who have gotten up at the crack of dawn to run 5 miles for the homeless. Catered by Loveless Cafe {known for their biscuits!}, this party is one the Baker family loves to host, and from the large turnout each year it’s become a tradition for others too! This morning we had such beautiful weather, scrumptious food, knock out drinks, amazing {and healthy!} friends and some fabulous catch ups. Thankful is an understatement this year! My faves from the party?:
traditional boxwood turkey created by the tulip tree
amazing blvd. bolt trotters
gorgeous turkey morning weather
a few old nashville friends. love.
running before they gobble
branches fluffed the hay bales + pumpkins
bryant williams, the popular bartendar, made his well-known bloody mary’s
thanks to RED spirits and wine, we were fully stocked. hola.
come to gobble, gobble ’til you wobble
my favorite: hot chocolate with whipped cream + marshmellows
only my mom could figure out how to run a paper source turkey die cut through the printer…and make it look fabulous!
krispy kreme donuts {we all hope that’s not the next twinkie situtation}
loveless galore {not pictured: hash brown casserole + stone ground grits + sausage}
fresh fruit
scrambled eggs
bacon, you had me at hello.
famous loveless biscuits
loveless jam spread
Newbie to the party? Loveless Chef Bart strutted his stuff by making fresh beignets in the front yard for guests. Huge hit!
me + brother worth about to dive into delicious beignets
Happy Thanksgiving! B+H
