When summer hits New York, it’s finally time for people to step out of their caves and flock the streets with cute flirty dresses. Along with flaunting their newest haircuts and tans {hopefully from self-tanner!} are the newest fashions in their closet.
The Young Members Party at The Met
The best place to see New Yorker’s in their finest of fine? That would be at summer benefits. NYC’s young philanthropists flock to parties such as The Young Members Party at The Met, the Guggenheim, MoMa, Young New Yorkers for Philharmonic…just to name a few!
I thought it would be an interesting twist to post about the inside scoop on what the “in the know” fashionistas are wearing…and what they are not! Remember this: if you receive a cocktail or black tie invitation, never wear a long dress! You will feel out of place, and hot {not glamorous…the heat kind of hot!}.
Two recent events I attended were The Young Members Party at The Met and The Young New Yorkers for Philharmonic events. Both were filled with beautiful girls with all body types all wearing similar looks. That would be: dresses that were short. Short. Short. Short. Here are some of my favorite looks:
Some girls decided to keep their dress color on the muted and natural side. Others decided to spice it up with a splash of color for their summer look.
Here are some Bonjour + Hola stylin’ ideas for your next event!:
Dress: Lotusgrace, Shoes: Jimmy Choo, Earrings: Mikimoto
Dress: Notte by Marchesa, Shoes: Jimmy Choo, Earrings: Adriana Orsini
All fabulous. All chic. Hello to you too, summer!
