Looking for the perfect way to arribaaa into Thursday night right? Well, thanks to the masterminds behind Casamigos and The Peninsula Beverly Hills, the summer search can finally come to a strict alto. Hola, Terrace Hours!
Surrounded by a big gorgeous tree strategically lit with romantic lights, an intimate, yet spacious courtyard overheard with the sound of a talented guitarist, and a fabulous fireplace burning amongst the “who’s-who” of LA sipping away, Terrace Hours at The Belvedere {5pm to 8pm on Thursday evenings} doesn’t disappoint. I’ll take another spicy margarita, por favor!
Best part? Bonjour + Hola got to sit down with The Peninsula’s Managing Director, Offer Nissenbaum, to get behind the scenes coverage on how this brilliant partnership was truly born. Bonjour!
How would you explain what Terrace Hours is to Bonjour + Hola readers?
Terrace Hours was created with our local neighborhood in mind. We are in the heart of Beverly Hills with many talent agencies, real estate offices and law firms nearby and Century City is only a few minutes away. We sought to create a setting to relax after work and enjoy traditional “happy hour” cocktails with friends, live guitarist, and Mediterranean-Californian inspired shared plates. We also offer complimentary valet parking and car park line marking to Terrace Hours guests so they can come in at 5pm, stay a few hours and go to dinner.
Casa Amigos is my absolute favorite tequila! What is the most popular cocktail you’re serving?
We rotate our new Terrace Hours summer cocktail menu in order to surprise our regulars. The most popular drinks right now are the Casamigos Negroni, Watermelon Mint Margarita and a refreshing sangria mixed with both Casamigos Blanco and Reposado tequilas. The perfect drinks to enjoy on a warm summer night.
What was the inspiration behind the colorful menu?
The Terrace Hours menu was designed with sharing in mind. Roasted cauliflower flat bread, charred grilled octopus, corn crab cakes and more. All food you can share with friends, that also pairs perfectly with the flavor profile of each of our cocktails. Mix and match…everything is delicious together.
Will there be more events to come in the future out on the terrace?
Absolutely, we love the atmosphere on the terrace when we do events. When people come for dinner at the Belvedere they tend to focus on their own table. At Terrace Hours its more lively and festive, lots of networking and socializing between tables.
The setting on the Terrace is one of my favorite parts of the hotel…the fireplace, the umbrellas, the big tree in the center with the branches shading the tables. It’s beautiful.
We are discussing some different events and will be making some announcements soon. Follow us on Twitter @thepeninsulabh for the latest news and events, and in the meantime, we hope to see you every Thursday from 5-8pm at Terrace Hours!
