Goodnight Moon

I don’t know about you…but having mucho caffeine throughout the day, phone calls boosting the levels of stress, and falling asleep amongst a city of bright lights, it can be incredibly hard to calm down from the crazy day and actually hit the sheets like a regular 20-something year old. But after being given a lovely lavender bouquet as a thoughtful gift from a co-worker last year, it got me thinking…lavender is a scent that truly does heal! So before I say goodnight moon, I’ve started surrounding myself not only with that divine smell, but color. Hola!

My lavender favorites to calm me into the evening?

A warm lavender eye pillow {perfect to heat up in the microwave and place on your forehead while jumping into your summer read}

A silk lavender chemise {although it doesn’t come smelling like lavender, the color is soothing and perfect to throw on to feel sexy while sleeping solo}

A spritz of Febreeze’s lavender bedroom mist on your pillows + sheets {5 min before you get snuggled up, of course}

Lingering in a bubble bath laced with Sabon’s patchouli + lavender mineral powder

DreamTime’s heated foot cozys {I’ve been wearing these at night for years}

A dollop of lavender lotion before falling into an incredible snooze

as you can tell, i rarely use the mineral powder. kidding! it’s that fabulous.

Other calming remedies, sans lavender:

A silk pillow case + sleep mask

A hydrating Darphin face mask

A hot cup of chamomile tea

And contrary to what you may think, I actually don’t smell like a lavender prairie plantation once my lights are turned out. It almost feels like you’re at the spa! My favorite part is waking up not only lavender refreshed, but already looking forward to saying goodnight moon once again. Happy Thursday!
