founder of wear it don’t bear it: toby milstein
Whether it be a personal or public tragedy, we are all affected by the various struggles that life throws our way. But speaking up to actually make a difference on the issue? Many of us try but rarely act to help victims…especially when you’re still in college {and no, Facebook statuses don’t count!}! So when I heard that one of the coolest chicas in NYC, Toby Milstein, felt devastated {like many of us} by the shooting in Aurora, CO, and had decided to create a brand to help the grieving families, I was so intrigued to hear how she combined her passions of fashion and art to create this stellar brand. Hola.
Wear It Don’t Bear It represents making a difference with gun-violence tragedies. And just by wearing their charm {I fell head over heals for the necklace!} you’re giving back. How? All profits from the charms sold are given back to Bereaved Parents of the USA, which is a non-profit that offers support to grief-stricken family members attempting to rebuild their lives after the loss of a family member. Cool, right? Don’t even get me started on this! Obsessed with these fabulous WIDBI charms is an understatement.
Whether you want to pair their charm necklace with a chic white t-shirt and jeans or just flaunt their bracelet with a simple black dress for a night on the town, look no further than Wear It Don’t Bear It. Not only will you be giving back for a good cause, but you’ll help spread the message via the WIDBI pendant against gun violence.
It’s your turn to make a difference! B+H
