How To Rent…The Real Way!

I’m totally one who always plans ahead in every category {surprises are so not my thing!}, but when it comes to me figuring out what to wear on a date, special event or a night out with my chicas I most always find myself saying, “Omg…I have nothing to wear!” Despite the fully loaded closet of many cloaks to throw on this tall glass of water, I always leave it to Rent The Runway to make sure I’m dressed for the part. Remember my date night post? Hola, once again!

But I have to admit…there have been numerous times where I’ve ordered from RTR, received two sizes and left in tears before walking out the door because the dress didn’t fit the way it looked on that angelic model. And if anyone knows me well, the delay of me getting ready could take longer than “Titanic” in general…but guess what? This past Friday, Rent The Runway‘s co-founders, Jenny Fleiss and Jennifer Hyman, have come out with the coolest most realistic feature on their site allowing users to see other customers uploading pictures of themselves in the clothes and analyze how it fits on someone real…not a skinny minny photoshopped model!

Rejecting the fact that women prefer to shop in fantasy, RTR is now showing their clothes on real people with real weights, real sizes, real hips, real…well, everything {click here to watch their video!}. Not only does “Our Runway” upgrade help our online shopping experience, but it helps people like me who try on what their wearing to a big event the day of…sans tears, too!

Whether you’re looking for a fabulous dress to wear out for cocktails this weekend or are trying to plan ahead for holiday parties right around the corner, let Rent The Runway take the reigns. They’re now showing us how to rent…the real way! B+H
