Still carrying a paper sack to work for lunch? Um…that’s so 1998! With mason jars being all the rage right now {from serving your guest’s wine or beer in them to even making them a perfect votive candle holder for your table setting} I couldn’t think of a better way to hip up the way we bring our lunch to work while ‘going green’ at the same time!
Two of my favorite dishes to put into mason jars before racing out the door? They both take less than 5 minutes to make!
1. Caprese Salad
Needed? Tomatoes. Mozerella. Olive Oil. Balsamic Vinaigrette {if you want!}.
2. Lunch a la Liz
Needed? Shrimp. Brussels Sprouts. Asparagus. Sun dried tomatoes. Chop, place on stove for five minutes with a splash of olive oil and pour in!
Get creative in the kitchen and make your favorite dishes the night before. Plop it into your jar and…hola! Mason jars even help your portion control for you to perfectly fit onto your plate!
What’s in your jar? Happy lunching! B+H
