After the Alt conference received its final applauses for a fantastic week, I decided to take advantage of being so close {30 min driving to be exact!} to Park City. I mean, Sundance was going on there…who would want to miss that?

Folded up clothes. Zipped up bags. It was time for me and my momma to go up the mountain! But as we became closer to renting a car, the hotel said “um…you know there is virtually no parking up there, major snow is predicted and only vehicles with chains or 4-wheel drive will be allowed over the Canyon…right?” Not to be deterred, we negotiated a low rate for a taxi driver to drive us up in his Suburban. This turned out to be the smartest decision we made on the trip since our entire drive up was behind a fleet of snow plows!
Hilly. Snowy. Windy. All expected! But with it being my first time at Sundance, I walked through it and tried to calmly take in all of the excitement surrounding me…slowly!
While our time was limited due to a early evening flight home, I heard from my hippest sources that dining here is a must at:
–Talisker on Main {some would argue this is the best restaurant in Utah…}
–Cafe Terigo {save room for their amazing bread pudding!}
–Silver {they have pomegranate fried brussel sprouts…hola!}
A driver taking us up the mountain was the first splurge {definitely recommended if you’re just visiting for the day!}, but I would also suggest the second to be getting credentials {passes} to get into the lounges. Thankfully I had the opportunity to attend two!
I wish I could have stayed in this “LA turns winter” mentality longer, but unfortunately I had to get back to the homeland for the busy upcoming work week. But, Alt to Sundance was oh so fab!
