MOSCOT

The iconic eye wear brand, MOSCOT, started creating buzz all the way back in 1925 from a man named Hyman Moscot. Hyman began selling these ready-made eyeglasses in Manhattan’s Lower East Side {on Orchard Street} from a pushcart. The glasses are refined and timeless, topped with incredible craftsmanship…Obviously, people couldn’t resist to purchase. They say that the rest is history!

Hyman’s son, Sol, joined the team and took MOSCOT to the next level by opening a retail store on Delancey Street in the Lower East Side. But, the growth didn’t end there! Sol’s son, Joel, was given the reigns and opened another store on 14th Street, which now stands as MOSCOT’s flagship location. Cool story, right?

Well, to this day the company still maintains its expertise in the precision of creating the perfect eyeglasses…just for you. When my family recently visited, it was about time for my brother, Worth, to upgrade his glasses. So, we headed down to Delancey Street! Their team helped us pick out the perfect shape glasses for him. They sell both their own MOSCOT Originals glasses as well as other top brands like Tom Ford and Gucci. The best part is your prescription glasses can be ready in an hour and are so much cheaper (about 50% less) than two other stores we visited in SOHO.

Celebrities are huge fans of the eyeglasses too…how couldn’t they be? These glasses are created to fit your face perfectly. Johnny Depp to Jessica Alba are just a few big names to drop. When I went into the store, the salesperson helping us told me that the sunglasses in the picture above were actually a recent purchase of Jessica!

MOSCOT is timeless. These glasses will last forever. The MOSCOT Originals, MOSCOT Spirit, MOSCOT Titanium, MOSCOT Originals Sun, and MOSCOT Sun Collections are all available in their shops and online. Make the trip down to either of their shops…the compliments you will receive wearing their glasses are just a tiny incentive!
