Have you ever wanted to learn how to cook something really elaborate and delicious but had no idea where to start? How to cut back time cooking for your dinner party? To make the preparing effort significantly less? Then The Social Table is calling your name.
Rebecca Goldfarb started The Social Table, who has experience from A-Z in the cooking world from a degree at Le Cordon Bleu to managing various restaurants in New York, to bringing people together to find their passion for food and friends. My friend, Chris, and I decided to butter up for the challenge! It turned an ordinary “hump day” into something meaningful and worthwhile. Boy, were we full by the end!
Our Seafood Dinner menu for the evening?:
Chilled Tomato Gazpacho
Grilled Shrimp, Roasted Corn & Avocado Mache Salad with Truffle Vinaigrette
Wrapping the Market Fish!
Market Fresh Fish “En Papillote” with Julienne Vegetables, White Wine & Butter
Delicious “Anarchy Cake” batter!
Summer Fruit Olive Oil Cake (“Anarchy Cake”)
Final dish!
The best part about The Social Table is that they keep the classes simple enough for you to mingle with others. They welcome individuals, partial groups, or complete groups of eight who want to learn more about the art of cooking for others. Snag your best friend, the guy you’ve been eyeing recently, your special someone, or a fun group and schedule a night with Rebecca! The classes are $80 a person, BYOB, and start at 7:30pm, which is perfect if you’re coming straight from work!
