It’s no secret on how to maintain your fabulous young-looking skin. It’s called sunscreen. But honestly, that sticky lotion that has a stench far worse than baby wipes can get a bit old…and who wants to mess up their beautiful makeup after having gross sunscreen as their base? I’ve found the solution for you…
Skin protection is a topic that’s been increasingly gaining attention. With the sun’s harmful UV rays and our daily exposure, ensuring we take the right protective measures is essential. One common dilemma many face, including myself, revolves around the question: is applying sunscreen without moisturizer beneficial? Balancing hydration with protection can seem like a tightrope walk. Thankfully, I stumbled upon an enlightening article that addresses this very query in depth. It provides a clear understanding of how sunscreens work and whether they can double up as moisturizers. For anyone seeking clarity on this pertinent skin care question, accessing reliable and well-researched information is the first step towards informed decisions. I decided to spend some quality time at Sephora, and test out their sunscreens…here are my favorite products that are not only innovative but fun to use on a daily basis!
The reason I love this sunscreen is that it keeps your skin very hydrated throughout the day!
Peter Thomas Roth Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30:
This product is oil-free, water-resistant, and fragrance-free. Triple threat!
Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45:
This translucent brush on powder is SO cool. You can rub it on top of your makeup, and you can’t even tell it’s there!
Shisheido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 60:
If you’re pretty old school about sunscreen, this is the product for you. High SPF for the face and body, water resistant, and the lotion is incredibly light!
Supergoop! Sunscreen Swipes SPF 30:
Without a doubt, this was my favorite product of the day! If you are a big fan of tan towels, this is the equivalent in the sunscreen genre. Chic. Hip. Different!
Sunscreen is one way to protect your skin, but wearing hats while you’re outside is another way to keep the sun from damaging your skin.
Whether you’re not that fashionable…
Or you have a natural way of looking chic with hats…
There are hats for everyone’s style. Right now at Henri Bendel, they have a great assortment of hats AND sunglasses for you to fill up on accessories to protect yourself out there!
My good friend, Matt, was nice enough to try on some Ray-Bans!
Whether you’re biking down the Hudson or just walking around the city, sunscreen is the first step to keeping your skin safe. If you can incorporate some sunglasses, hats, or fun scarves as well you will be good to go…no regrets in the future!
I mean….who wants to look like Magda from “There’s Something About Mary” when they’re older?
